Wigan Athletic v Middlesbrough Live

Wigan Athletic will be searching for their second straight league win when they welcome Middlesbrough in their Premier League match on Saturday.

Wigan secured a morale boosting 2-1 win over Manchester City last weekend and though there was some controversy over the penalty from which Amr Zaki scored the winner, manager Steve Bruce will be very pleased with the level of performance shown by his side.

Zaki will once again hold the key against Middlesbrough this weekend with the Egyptian striker in a rich vein of form having already scored five league goals so far. The 25-year old striker has alerted a number of clubs both in England and on the continent after refusing to commit his future to Wigan, who have the option of signing him permanently, after the summer. Wigan had won this fixture by a margin of 1-0 last season with Antoine Sibierski scoring the winner in the second half.
