Standard Liege v Everton Live

Everton face a must win tie against Standard Liege in Belgium if they are to have any hopes of making it to the group stages of the UEFA Cup.

A poor performance in the first leg at Goodison Park saw Standard Liege hold Everton to a 2-2 draw. The visitors had taken an early lead through Dieudonne Mbokani but Everton equalized through Yakubu. However Liege were back in from 10 minutes before half time thanks to an own goal by Joseph Yobo but Everton struck back immediately to pull level after Tim Cahill hit the target three minutes later.

Standard Liege coach Laszlo Boloni will be fancying his chances of taking his side to the next round and will be fully aware that even a 1-1 draw against Everton will be enough to see his side progress to the group stages.
