Pressure increased on Scotland manager George Burley with Scottish FA chief executive Gordon Smith stating that anything other than a victory against Norway would end Scotland’s World Cup qualifier campaign.

Scotland have collected just three points from their first two matches and find themselves in danger of dropping out of the race for a qualification should they fail to collect maximum points from their next two matches this week.

Burley will be missing Kenny Miller, Kris Commons and Kevin Thomson with all the three players out with injury. The Scotland manager has announced that Darren Fletcher will be wearing the arm band on Saturday with both Barry Ferguson and Stephen McManus out of action.
