Aston Villa look to have secured a berth in the UEFA Cup as they welcome FH Hafnarfjordur for the second leg of their qualifying fixture on Thursday.

With a 4-1 win in the first leg, Villa have done everything to bring European football to the Villa Park this season. However Martin O’Neill’s side are down after being beaten by Stoke last Saturday.

Defender Nicky Shorey is out with a knee injury and O’Neill may very well use this game to test out fringe players like Marlon Harewood, defender Zat Knight and midfielder Craig Gardner.
