Russia v Spain Live | Euro 2008 Semi Final
Russia will go in as underdogs in the second semi-final of Euro 2008 as they face Spain at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.
Russia coach Guus Hiddink said after his side’s brilliant win over Netherlands that it was a minor miracle. He will need a bigger one if Russia are to beat Spain.
Against Netherlands goals from Roman Pavlyuchenko, Dmitri Torbinsk and Andrei Arshavin ensured that Ruud van Nistelrooy’s 86th minute goal was in vain. However Kolodin and Torbinski are suspended for the semifinals.
Spain will be hoping to repeat the 4-1 win over Russia in the group game that saw David Villa score a hat trick. Spain coach Luis Aragones does not have any injury concerns ahead of this game.
