Odense BK v Aston Villa Live

Aston Villa kick off their European challenge with an away trip to Danish club Odense BK in the first leg of their UEFA Intertoto Cup Third Round on Saturday.

Villa qualified for the Intertoto Cup after finishing sixth in the league last season, putting in some consistent performances throughout the campaign. This is their highest finish in the league for the last four years and manager Martin O’Neill will be hoping that his side will make the most of it by putting in some good performances and go far in the UEFA Cup, for which they will qualify if they beat Odense.

With speculation persisting over his future at the club, captain Gareth Barry is not expected to take to the field but new signing Steve Sidwell could be handed his debut for the club after completing a £5 million move from Chelsea.
