Aston Villa face their toughest test yet this season when they visit Chelsea in their Premier League encounter knowing well that a victory against the Blues could take them to the top of the league table.

A brilliant start to the season has seen Villa sit third in the league table and in with a great chance to qualify for their first Champions League tournament in more than 15 years. Villa have won three games on the trot but manager Martin O’Neill will be aware that his side will have to be at their best if they are to have any hopes of getting at least a point at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea though will be hoping to maintain their good start to the season that has seen them quickly climb to the top of the league table. The Blues will be searching for their first win over Villa in six league meetings with any result except defeat extending their unbeaten Premier League run to 27 matches.
