Germany v Turkey Live | Euro 2008 Semi Final

Favorites Germany face Turkey in the first Euro 2008 semi-final having overcome fancied Portugal 3-2 in their quarterfinal clash.

Germany managed to beat Portugal even though their coach Joachim Loew was banned from the touchline. Goals from Bastian Schweinsteiger, Miroslav Klose and Michael Ballack helped the Germans overcome Portugal who responded with goals from Nuno Gomes and Helder Postiga.

However Torsten Frings remains a doubt for this fixture with a rib injury, otherwise Loew has a fully fit side.

Turkey surprised Croatia 3-1 after penalties to go through to the semifinals. Ivan Klasnic had almost sealed the game for Croatia with a last minute goal, but Semih Senturk scored stunningly in added time in extra time to force penalties. Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and Mladen Petric were unable to score and Rustu was in great for as Turkey triumphed.

However coach Fatih Terim has multiple injury concerns and suspensions ahead of this tie with Nihat Kahveci, Emre Asik, Tuncay Sanli, Arda Turan and Volkan Demirel all ruled out.
