Doncaster v Southend Live

Southend will be hoping to reserve this season’s defeat at the Keepmoat Stadium when they take on Doncaster in their second leg of League One play off semi final on Friday.

A 0-0 draw in the first leg leaves both the teams in a with a great chance to make it to the play off finals. While Southend can qualify for the final by holding Doncaster to a scored draw, the advantage lies with the Rovers who have already beaten Southend 3-1 at home early this season.

Southend will be looking to bounce straight back to the Championship after they were relegated last season but Steve Tilson’s side will have to perform better in the second leg if they are to have any hopes of making it to the final. Southend will be boosted by the absence of Doncaster midfielder Paul Heffernan who was sent off in the first leg though Sean O’Driscoll will be confident that his side will be able to make it to the final on May 25.
