Rangers face Liverpool in a pre-season friendly on a low note having been held to a 0-0 draw by FBK Kaunas in a UEFA Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.

Rangers have a big injury list with skipper Barry Ferguson, Carlos Cuellar and Steven Naismith all injured. Manager Walter Smith may not want to risk Lee McCulloch and Kevin Thompson for this game.

Liverpool have had a busy transfer season with Robbie Keane arriving at Anfield. Gareth Barry’s transfer saga is yet to be settled with Villa saying Barry’s move has collapsed, but Liverpool insisting it was still on.
