Zenit St Petersburg will be aiming to qualify to their first ever European final when they take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of their UEFA Cup semi final on Thursday.

Zenit go into the second leg after securing a vital 1-1 draw in Germany last weekend, giving themselves a major boost in knocking out the German giants from the competition.

Bayern had taken a first half lead through Franck Ribery but Zenit’s pressure told in the second half as Lucio scored an own goal to pull the scores back on level terms.

Luca Toni returns for Bayern after missing out the first leg due to suspension while Philipp Lahm, Lukas Podolski and Mark van Bommel could be in danger of missing out the final if they are booked in the second leg.

Zenit manager Dick Advocaat will be without Andrei Arshavin, Ricksen and Radek Sirl who were all booked in the first leg while Aleksandr Anyukov is out injured.
